What changed in each upload since liftoff. The ship lifted off on 19 Oct 2026 at 12:00 (UTC−3) and that instant is sealed: no version touches the launch — only what is seen and read.

v1.3.1

The tower beacons got livelier: when one lights up, its glow paints the whole tower and lights its edges in the color of the flash. In the dark between two flashes, a row of LEDs carries a faint light from the foot of the mast to the tip, arriving just as the beacon lights up, already in its color. Nothing changes in the trip.

v1.3.0

Two sensor towers at the bow, in the lower corners of the windshield, almost hidden by the edge of the cockpit. The beacons at their tips blink together every 4 seconds, in green, red, blue and white, and the towers catch the real light of the Sun. Nothing changes in the trip.

v1.2.5

Instruments before the sky: the panels, the ship’s log and the radio switch on as soon as the page opens, and the window (the sky and the rear camera) slots in once its images finish downloading — until then the windshield says "checking…". Until now, everything waited for the whole sky, tens of seconds on 4G. On a phone held upright, the visit counter now appears on a line beside the footer.

v1.2.4

Phone: the upright arrangement is now built from the first instant, before the sky is downloaded — the panels appear stacked right away, with dashes until the numbers arrive, and the window says "checking…" while it loads. Until now, the stage appeared shrunk for a few seconds. Nothing changes on a computer.

22 Oct 2026 · deployment a17f1f3f
v1.2.3

Phone held upright: when the screen is narrower than it is tall, the window becomes a strip across the top and the instruments leave the stage and stack below it, each at its natural size — radio, speed, navigation, compared clocks, Earth, systems, rear camera, radiation and the five destinations at the end. Turn the device and the cockpit goes back to its usual arrangement. Nothing changes on a computer. Checked in the twenty languages at ten moments of the trip.

v1.2.2

Legibility on laptops: the panel labels grow 1 to 2 px where the glass has room (titles at 13 px, news strip at 13.5, rear camera and arrival dates larger), checked in the twenty languages at ten moments of the trip; the big numbers and the lines of the ship’s log do not change. The trip bars now share a single grid, and "On Earth" no longer wraps onto two lines. The shield’s Heat line gained a tooltip: the cosmic background compressed ahead heats 4×10⁻⁹ as much as the gas, at any speed.

v1.2.1

Reception, stage 1: the cockpit no longer goes dead. Without WebGL2 (old graphics cards, private mode, TVs and many phones) the instruments, the ship’s log and the radio stay live and only the window shows a notice. While the cockpit loads, the windshield says "checking…"; in a browser that cannot run the code, a box appears within seconds with the T-0, the explanation and the five destinations, in the system language. Nothing changes in the trip.

v1.2.0

Borealis Horizon in twenty languages: Swahili, Hausa, Greek, Russian, Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Hindi, Hebrew, Persian and Arabic join the eight of 1.1.0. In each, panels, labels and ship’s diary are translated and reviewed, with numbers, dates and units in the language’s format and star and constellation names in the form each language uses; the ship radio already spoke these languages. Hebrew, Persian and Arabic run right to left without moving the instruments. New fonts for these scripts (Roboto Condensed, Rajdhani in Devanagari, Assistant, Vazirmatn and the Greek and Cyrillic cuts of JetBrains Mono), credited in Sources and credits. In these twelve languages the documents open in English. Also: the "local ruler" caption in the navigation, which showed in Portuguese in every language, now follows the language. Nothing changes in the trip.

v1.1.0

Borealis Horizon in eight languages: Portuguese, Spanish, English, French, German, Italian, Turkish and Indonesian. The cockpit follows the visitor’s system language; anyone using none of them sees the site in English. Panels, labels and ship's log translated, with numbers and dates in each language's format and star names in Latin nomenclature. Poetic licence, Sources and credits, Versions and the PDF article now exist in all seven other languages. The ship radio speaks all eight languages too: its 2,415 lines were adapted rather than translated word for word, each language with its own names for the two employees. Nothing changes in the trip, and the Portuguese text stays the same.

v1.0.9

Search engine readiness: real robots.txt and sitemap.xml files (before, any nonexistent path returned the home page), description, canonical URL and Open Graph cards on the cockpit and the documents, the Google Search Console verification tag, and the home page with its encoding fixed. Nothing changes in the trip.

v1.0.8

Visit counter on the dark monitor above the news strip: just the number, projected onto the slant of the bezel, its color two shades below that of the panels. It counts every page load through GoatCounter (a cookie-free counting service, free for non-commercial sites; account borealis, with no collection of country, region or language); if the service does not respond, the monitor shows a dimmed "—". Mockup: mockups/contador-visitas.html.

v1.0.7

Article (PDF): "Borealis Horizon: uma viagem relativística em tempo real até os Pilares da Criação — modelo, implementação e limites" (18 pages, in Portuguese with an English abstract, signed Borealis Dynamics), covering the model of motion, time and signals, light, cosmic background, nebula, propulsion and shield, encounters, instruments, implementation and numerical robustness, limitations and references. The footer's "Article (PDF)" link no longer says "coming soon". Before publication, the article went through an external audit (GPT Astra): 46 agreed fixes and additions — among them the first light-year at 1.29 years, the clock difference in the first second (attoseconds), the CMB/Sun ratio at the turnaround (≈ 4×10²³), the beam power with 1.1 g, the fuel burn including the climb, the radiance gain omitted on the planets, Saturn's rings (edges ≤ 0.55% off the real ones, not "4%"), Uranus in kilometers, Charon 20% closer (not "half"), the ~14,000 years between the observed epochs of the nebula, the panels described as they are, the clocks' reference frames and general relativity outside the model, the map design and the radio rules. In the Poetic licence, the same numbers (Saturn, Uranus, Charon, age of the light) and the sentence about antimatter were corrected, and the three radio voices got their job titles next to their names.

v1.0.6

Poetic licence cut down to what was asked: only the simplifications, one card per item, with no introductory section, no list of what is correct and no cross-references. The "data and limits" page (realism.html) was removed from the site and its links; its content goes into the article.

19 Oct 2026 · deployment 13deb6a1
v1.0.5

This page, with the list of fixes in each version, and the version label in the cockpit's bottom strip and in the documents' footer turned into a link to it. Publishing now requires the new version to be on this list.

19 Oct 2026 · deployment 38954018
v1.0.4

Version label: "launched" replaced with "Ship lifted off on", in the cockpit and in the documents.

19 Oct 2026 · deployment 117c5079
v1.0.3

Sources and credits restyled to match the cockpit: resources on cards with a status badge, references, stated assumptions, open items and recorded decisions, local credits and technical log. Content preserved; the page is still generated from the inventory.

19 Oct 2026 · deployment 32e0e5e1
v1.0.2

Poetic licence rewritten, with research in the code and in external sources, and redesigned to match the cockpit: eleven sections, each concession with what physics says, what the simulation does and the size of the deviation. Sources and credits gained five references (Kuhn et al. 2019; Semyonov 2009 and 2020; Flagey et al. 2011; Hubble heic1501) and the statement that the site is non-commercial, educational and free. In "How the representation works": the Earth shown does not rotate (the old sentence said the opposite) and the grid of the Pillars volume is 142 × 234 × 218.

v1.0.1

Version label in the cockpit's bottom strip: version and liftoff instant on a second line below the links, build id in the tooltip.

19 Oct 2026 · deployment 547ac195
v1.0.0

The liftoff build. Complete cockpit — redesigned terminals, route map, rear camera, ship radio, cockpit lighting and builder's plate —, star brightness audit and publishing locked to real time: the liftoff instant stamped into the build, no time shortcuts, the same for everyone.
